vol. 8, Fall Issue Blog

This is the blog for the American Communication Journal. Each time we issue an issue we will begin a new conversation to deal with issues that are raised by the essays included in that journal. My hope, as Editor, is that this can provide us all with a new means to engage in civil discourse about significant intellectual issues in our field. This is NOT the place to question the judgment of peer reviewers in approving an essay for inclusion, not to engage in ad hominem attacks. It IS the place to pursue lines of inquiry raised by essays, ask questions for clarification, or make suggestions as to other research topics that might be addressed using the same approach explained IN the essay. It is also appropriate, here, to seek collaboration on like-subjects, or to offer to work with others on research approaches or topics. So, with these caveats in mind, I invite you to participate. All authors whose essays are included in the journal have agreed to be available for conversation once their essay appears.
